Legal Uses Of HGH Injections -April 24th, 2009

If you type “HGH” or “Human Growth Hormone” into any search engine, you will find multiple articles and other resources.  The most common lately are those concerning the arrest of Sylvester Stallone, the controversy of Roger Clemens and his wife, in other words celebrity happenings.  In essence, these individuals tried to use synthetic HGH injections, which have been deemed illegal by the FDA, except of course in the case of certain severe medical conditions such as fibromyalgia for example.  The only legal supplements, which are nonetheless not approved by the FDA, are those which would stimulate the pituitary gland, not introduce synthetic HGH to the system.  There is a huge difference.

The Human Growth Hormone is produced by the pituitary gland, which is a tiny pea size structure located at the base of the brain.  You wouldn’t think that small gland would make such a huge difference, but then you wouldn’t think the thyroid, a small butterfly shaped gland in the throat, would make that big a difference either.  But the pituitary gland is solely responsible for the body’s natural production of HGH, which decreases over time and with age, starting from birth.  It can be found in extremely high amounts in children as a part of normal development and the basic maintenance of tissues and organs.  However, it begins to make a sharp decline at the age of 20-30.  For that reason, HGH injections are given to children who suffer from an extremely short stature, as for some reasons their bodies do not naturally produce the same amount of HGH as a child’s body should.  It is also given to those whose pituitary gland is entirely destroyed in connection with surgery or radiation.  It can also be used to treat Turner’s syndrome, chronic renal insufficiency, intrauterine growth retardation, and Prader-Willi syndrome, though the full implications of this injection and hormone are not yet known.

As of this time, there is no conclusive evidence to suggest that HGH injections can actually slow the process of aging.  Most people now want to use it as the proverbial fountain of youth, and customer testimonials of its effect both in synthetic form and using legal pituitary gland stimulators are abundant.  However, no clinical studies have been conducted at this time.  Its only medically backed applications are found with certain specific diseases in injection form.
