Clemens Wife On HGH Too -April 13th, 2009

Roger Clemens, a major league baseball player, was recently accused of using artificial HGH supplements, which are extremely illegal, not only in the MLB, but also according to the FDA.  He has been accused of using it prior to a number of different baseball games, and apparently, he was also sharing it with his wife, Debbie Clemens.

Just prior to a photo shoot for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar, apparently Clemens instructed Brian McNamee to inject his wife with the same substance in 2003.  he testified before a congressional investigation, and he even shared the “story” of her growth after using these injections.

Wife Debbie Clemens has said that as a 39 year old mother of 4, she panicked and thought she had to give it everything she had when preparing for the shoot.  She talked mainly about the experience for her and the growth it provided personally.  But a representative of Clemens denies all allegations and statements.  Apparently, Clemens would not be “capable” of it.

As President Bush left office, there was a push to pardon Clemens as the 7 times winner of the Cy Young ward.  They called McNamee a glorified drug dealer.  Still, both Clemens and McNamee could face perjury charges, and there was always question about whether or not Clemens would have been indicted or will be for perjury.

Either way, some other players, such as Derek Jeter are taking the lead.  Jeter has stated that even if it means giving a blood sample, he is willing to be tested at any time for HGH or other performance enhancing drugs.  While the rest of the MLB and their unions are shying away, Jeter is stepping up.  We hope to see Clemens do the same.
